Snow Magic - Our New Street

This week on the Glue Arts Blog, we are working with Little Yellow Bicycle products (Winter Twig Collection), and this collection allows for effortless layouts to come together.  I love the colour scheme of this collection, and how it really makes the snowy image look more beautiful and serene.

The photo is of our new street, in our new town of Brantford, Ontario.  The snow was so fluffy and covering each branch of every tree.  It was a stunning sight.

If you leave a comment on the Glue Arts post, there is a GIVEAWAY opportunity over there. It's worth having a look!

BIG News...Spellbinders and a B&B

It's official, I made the 2012 Spellbinders team.  It's been an amazing year and I am so glad that it doesn't have to end.  I love this company, their products, their values, and the people who make Spellbinders what it is.

Thank you Spellbinders for giving me another year!

Secondly....this is BIG news for Mark and I.  We are opening a Bed & Breakfast for scrapbookers and crafters opening in the Spring of 2012!!!  That's a couple months away.  To start, we are offering weekend retreats once a month.   We will also be offering workshops for other crafts besides scrapbooking, and the best examples I have are soap making and cupcake decorating.

I would love to know what you think of the site and the concept.  I have a vision, but I am also open to ideas!  Now is the time!

Thank you so much!

Christy Tomlinson Stamps!

Christy Tomlinson Designs are now available through Unity Stamp Co.  Amazing!

I had the chance to work with two background stamps (Quilted Blooms, SheArt PrintTexture), each measuring approx. 6" in length!  I also worked with a SheArt girl, called SHE was a daughter.

I stamped onto white paper, then applied Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutter Distress Stains.  Stitched the background to green patterned paper, then die cut some Spellbinders Edgeabilities to make a decorative edge for underneath.  The sentiment is also a new release from Simple Stories.

For this card, I stamped onto white paper again, then applied Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters, and Wild Honey Distress Stains.  I cut out my SHE girl, and stitched her to the card along with the background.  The sentiment is from the Aug 2011 Kit of the Month.

Here are the images I used today, and these are just a few being released this CHA Winter 2012 by Unity!  Check out the rest of Christy's images HERE.
